McMaster leads qualifiers

Christopher McMaster (Wellsgreen) won the £100 first prize as leading qualifier in the qualifying competition for the Tartan Tour's Kerr Investments OOM tournament at Dumfries and Galloway on August 29-30.
He had a three-under-par round of 67 - a stroke ahead of Paul Wardell (North Berwick) and Ian Brown (Newent).
Twenty-eight players with scores of 74 and better qualified but only one of the seven on 75, Ross Murdoch (Dumfries and Galloway) made it after a play-off.
