McNicoll heads East Alliance at The Roxburghe

Gullane assistant professional Keir McNicoll headed a field of 96 players in this week's Edinburgh and East of Scotland Alliance fixture at The Roxburghe course, Kelso.
McNicoll's five-under-par round of 67 included four birdies on the outward half.
He won not only the top scratch prize by two strokes from fellow pro Andrew Marshall of the Houston Golf Range but the Carnoustie man also secured the T C Jordan Trophy.
Top assistant prize was shared on 76 by Gordon Hillson (Dunbar) and Cameron Marr (Musselburgh).
