Craig Melding made it two wins from two starts in the South Wales PGA medal at Creigiau. The Neath professional started with an eagle two at the short par four first hole.
He later added four birdies, three on the back nine. These were offset by two bogeys and a double bogey on the par five eighth. Melding has now taken over from Paul Mayo as the leader of the winter order of merit.
The two-shot victory came over home professional Richard Brookman and the PGA in South Wales captain Kevin Davies . Chris O’Neill and Ryan Haskell were two shots further back.
Davies also won the pro-am section with amateur partner Paul Stephens. Their round of 66 was matched by three other teams, but Davies and Stephens claimed the victory with a better back six holes. Rhys Pugh and his amateur partner Rowan Oliver were second.
