Westhill Golf Club professional George Bruce's 21 years at the club are being marked by members holding a testimonial season as a thank you for his loyalty and exceptional service.
One of the main events is a pro-am at the club on June 24. Eighteen members' teams of three partnering mainly north-east club professionals have entered.
PGA in Scotland captain Stewart Syme (Drumoig) will also attend the event.
That will be followed by a testimonial dinner in the Holiday Inn, Westhill later in the week, with Marriott Dalmahoy professional Alan Tait, renowned for his after-dinner entertainment, the main guest speaker.
Mhorvan Sherrett is chairman of the George Bruce testimonial season committee.
"George is an 'Insch loon, and started his pro career as an assistant at Ballater but very quickly came under Ronnie McDonald's wing as an assistant at Westhill,” he explained.
“When Ronnie moved on, George took over as Westhill's club pro, and he has been there ever since, although he doesn't look a day older than the day he arrived at Westhill.
"George is sponsored by Wilson Staff who are also supporting the event."
Bruce said: "I'm good for another 21 years!"
"I was only 16 when I started my PGA apprenticeship with Fraser Mann at Ballater and I consider myself very lucky to have had a job I've enjoyed so much.
"The members have been great to me over my 21 years at Westhill, the last 17 of which I have been the club pro, and I cannot thank them enough for organising a testimonial season for me."
