Montrose assistant masters Arbroath

Graeme Brown batted to a well-deserved win in this week's Midland Golfers' Alliance competition over a very windy Arbroath Links.
The Montrose Links assistant’s two-under-par 70 was enough to finish two shots clear of runner-up Steven Cargill (1), and three ahead of Carnoustie PGA Professional Fraser Mann.
Second place Cargill's net 69 won him the leading handicap prize, while his all-Arbroath team of Euan Rae (5) and Scott Arbuthnott, also playing off five, took first prize in the team competition, sponsored by Ian Cooke Catering.
