Michael Moore (Pinner Hill) used home advantage to good effect as he claimed the Middlesex Open title.
He fired rounds of 68 and 72 to finish two-under-par at Pinner Hill and triumph by a shot.
Moore’s three-under opening round was matched by Matt Deal (Hendon), who holed an 8-iron for an eagle at the par-4 12th.
Rainy and cold conditions impacted the afternoon’s golf and only two players in the 15-strong field broke par for the second round.
One of those was amateur Luke Gyho (Mill Hill) who climbed into a share of second spot alongside Deal.
But Moore had just enough in the locker to secure a narrow success on a 140 total.
Luke Goddard (Hendon) was the other player to get it round under par in the second round and he rose to fourth place.
