Northants boost for defib campaign

Northamptonshire Golf Partnership coaches will be taught live-saving skills by the Arrhythmia Alliance – partners in the Bernard Gallacher Defibrillator Campaign.

Arrhythmia Alliance representatives Caroline Holmes and Nigel Breakwell will give a demonstration on how to use the life-saving equipment following the workshop at Cold Ashby Golf Club on Monday.

County Development Officer and PGA Professional David Davis said: “I believe that all PGA Professionals should be encouraged to attend the presentation to have golf clubs provide defibrillators within their clubhouses and on the course.

“The information and training provided within the 30 minute presentation will give them the knowledge to use defibrillators correctly, assist them in putting plans in place to deal with a player's sudden collapse and could ultimately help save somebody's life.”
