The PGA Winter Series in association with Cobra Puma Golf will this week get under way at European Club in Co Wicklow.

New venues on the schedule this year include Rush GC in North County Dublin, Old Conna in County Wicklow and The Heritage in Co Laois.

The events at The Heritage and Old Conna will be pro-am fourball tournaments.

Neil O'Briain is the reigning Order of Merit champion and is returning to defend his title.

The Old Conna assistant won two events last year, most notably holding off European Tour regulars Shane Lowry, Peter Lawrie and Damien McGrane to win in Druid's Heath.

The OOM, sponsored by Cobra Golf, will be calculated on the basis of four cards from the six events.
