O'Hara overturns Marr lead

Paul O'Hara, the Scottish Young Professionals champion, lost his first-round lead but came from behind on the third and final round to win the Shotts Young Professionals Order of Merit pro-am at Shotts Golf Club.

Cameron Marr (Musselburgh), one stroke behind O'Hara after the first, took over the lead with a second-round 68 for 136 to his rival's 71 for 138.

But the Clydeway Golf player, responded to the pressure in the third round by birdieing the eighth, ninth, 10th and 13th on his way to a three-under 67 for a final total of five-under-par 210.

Marr could do no better than a par 70 on the final circuit and finished one shot behind on 206.

The pair finished well ahead of third placed Sam MacLaren (Blairgowrie) carded a 213 (70-71-72).
