O'Hara shares ninth win of the year

Paul O'Hara chalked up his ninth win of the year with a joint victory alongside Gareth Wright (West Linton) in today's RRS Discovery pro-am at Downfield Golf Club, Dundee.

The North Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd player and Wright, the 2012 winner of the tournament, both shot four-under-par 69s to earn £850 apiece.

Third on the 70 mark were Alastair Forsyth (Mearns Castle Golf Academy, the 2016 winner, and Graeme Fox (Clydeway Golf). They earned £495.83 each.

Forsyth boosted his day's income by a further £100 when he led the GS Group amateur trio, Nick Barr (+1), Stuart Graham (+1) and Roy Graham (8) to victory by six strokes with a 15-under-par total of 131.

James McGhee (Blackadders, 137) and Samuel Binning (SKN 2, 140) also earned £100 apiece for leading the teams that finished second and third.
