O'Hara takes third win of the year

Scottish young professionals champion Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf) scored his third win of the season with a four-under-par round of 67 in the Strathaven pro-am.

O'Hara's first prize of £1,191 was his biggest of the current Tartan Tour campaign. It was a reward for a bogey-free round highlighted by birdies at the second, third, 10^th and 14^th in halves of 33-34.

He won by a single stroke from host club pro Stuart Kerr who had more birdies than O'Hara but also more bogeys in halves of 33 and 35.

Kerr birdied the third, fourth, eighth, 10^th and 14^th but dropped shots at the ninth and 16^th. He earned £953.
