Paul Streeter and Matthew Cort shared the honours at the Charlie Britton Classic at Lincolnshire’s Gedney Hill GC.
The pair carded 64s to finish on six-under-par – two shots clear of the pack.
Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre) didn’t drop a shot on his round, bagging four birdies and an eagle on the 240-yard par four ninth.
Cort (Rothley Park GC) was one of the first on the course and picked up five birdies and an eagle at the 223-yard par four seventh. His only dropped shot came at the third – one of the course’s tricky par threes.
Five birdies in six holes around the turn helped Simon Lilly (Wellingborough GC) to four-under-par alongside former Ryder Cup player Paul Broadhurst.
Six players carded two-under-par 68s including James Crompton (Kenilworth GC) who hit an eagle at the 237-yard par four 10th.
