Pestana Vila Sol - a fitting grand final venue

The world famous Pestana Vila Sol Championship and Pestana Vila Sol Academy Golf Courses are must-plays for golfers visiting the Algarve.

Managed by the Pestana Group and just 20 minutes from Faro airport, the two courses and the 5-star Pestana Vila Sol Hotel occupy 75 acres of beautiful countryside on the fringe of the chic town of Vilamoura.

The Championship course comprises 27 challenging holes designed by renowned golf architect Donald Steel.

Laid out in three loops of nine, each hole is in keeping with the original topographical nature of the undulating terrain and wends their way through pine, almond and fig trees, plants, flowers, lakes and streams.

Alternatively, Vilamoura beach or the town’s famous marina can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car – during the summer months a free transfer between the hotel and golden sands operates.

The hotel itself offers two bars and as many restaurants. In addition, guests can use the gym, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. 

For younger guests there is a game’s room, playground and a Kids Club, which is available during the summer.
