Pestell starts season with Toot Hill win

Andy Pestell from Chelmsford Golf Club made a stylishly late debut to the 2015 season by taking the spoils at Toot Hill Golf Club.

Very slick but perfect greens caused some problems for the field, but in cool but pleasant spring sunshine an impressive seven birdies in a one-under score of 69 was good enough for Pestell to win by two shots from Mark Baker from Colchester Golf Club and Richard Miller from Rayleigh Golf Range.  

In the pro-am event the team of PGA Professional Jason Levermore with amateurs Barney Cameron, Martin Gillett and Mark Guerny won by two points with a nine-under score of 81. In second place was the amateur team with Matt Stables from North Weald Golf Club.
