As describer above.
PGA Yorkshire secretary Aran Wainwright described the record turn-out for 36-hole county open at Howley Hall as "fantastic."
"We had 80 players including a number of low handicapped amateurs and 20 teams in the curtain-raising pro-am," he said.
"Golf in Yorkshire is looking good. The clubs that are pro-active are doing well and we also have more than 100 PGA Professionals paying their subs."
Crosland Heath's Robert Booth (pictured above) won the main event with rounds of 73 and 69 for a level par total with host club amateur Ben Hutchinson, who plays off plus four and claimed the title last year, finishing two shots off the face.
Wainwright added: "We owe a debt of gratitude to Needless Inn sponsor Darren Burrows."
