The British Golf Show in association with The PGA took place at Wycombe Air Park on 17th – 18th May, with 6,729 golf fans attending the Southern edition of the two day show.
115 exhibiting brands showcased their products and services at the show, including a number of PGA Partners and venues such as Antalya Golf Club, as well as Careers in Golf and The PGA’s PGA Play lesson tool, which enables golfers to search for and connect with a trusted PGA Professional in just a few clicks.
Alex Kotlarzewski, PGA Professional and SkyCaddie’s European Sales & UK Customer Support Manager, said: ‘We've showcased the SkyCaddie product line with our brand new SuperTags. It's been great showing the public and also fellow PGA Members and Partners all the new technology that we have. It's great to finally bring it to market - it's been a long time in the making and we’ve had excellent feedback from people trying it out.
“A lot of people have putting mats in their office and now with SuperTags they can practise with a purpose, improve their game and then hopefully that transitions onto the golf course. It's been great to interact with so many people in one place at one time at the show.”
PGA Partner Foresight Sports Europe were also in attendance, providing golf simulators for PGA Play’s coaching area as well as supporting other exhibiting companies using their GC Quad technology.
Justin Sandler, PGA Professional and Sales Executive at Foresight Sports Europe, said:
“We partnered with The PGA a couple of years ago and we provide launch monitor and golf simulator technology for PGA Pros - there's discounts available and we can help them with building their indoor academies, their teaching outdoors, any environment that they want to use our technology in, and we are there to support them as well.
“It's been a brilliant event this year. This is my fourth year at the British Golf Show - I've been to every one of them since it's been here. It's growing and it's getting busier every year. It's been tiring, but it's been amazing.”
KWM Wealth, partner of the PGA South Region, attended the show for the second year in a row. Shannon Dooley from KWM Wealth explained more about the company: “We look at what people’s short, medium and long-term plans are, what resources they've got around them and what we can do to fill in the gaps and make sure they achieve all their financial goals.
“At the show we’ve been letting people know about what we do and then hopefully we’ll be able to catch up with them and have a little bit more of an in-depth discussion as to how we can help them. I've absolutely loved it. I've never been to any sort of show like this before. I've really enjoyed it, it's been amazing.”
Dooley also took advantage of the golf lessons on offer from PGA Professionals at the show, by having a lesson with Rugby Golf Club’s Zoe North
