PGA Professionals chasing prestigious 59club awards

A host of PGA Professionals are in the hunt to win top accolades at 59club’s 10th annual Sales & Service Excellence Awards.

Chris Fitt (Foxhills Club & Resort), Chris Reeve (The Belfry Hotel & Resort) and Darren Griffiths (Monte Rei) are all in the running to be crowned Golf Manager of the Year (Over £75 green fee).

Alex Davies (Belton Woods) and Martyn Stubbings (Rockliffe Hall) are hoping to be crowned Golf Retail Manager of the Year (Under £75 green fee).

Jacky Montgomery (Dunbar Golf Club), Sean Graham (Foxhills Club & Resort) and Simon Howell (Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club) have been nominated in the Golf Retail Manager of the Year (Over £75 green fee) category.

PGA National England - The Belfry – has been nominated in six categories overall, with the four-time Ryder Cup venue returning to defend their title ‘Ultimate Golf Resort’, after claiming one of the highest prized accolades of the evening last year at St Andrews, Scotland.   

The 59club Awards celebrate excellence across sales, service, operations, retail and management. The awards ceremony will be hosted by BBC’s Dan Walker and will see the leading figures from the world of golf come together at Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club on March 12 to honour individuals, teams and venues for their industry-leading performance throughout 2019.

The accolades are determined by scores collected from 59club’s mystery shopping team, who evaluate the experience afforded to visiting golfers and prospective members in accordance with 59club’s objective benchmarking criteria.
