Golfbreaks.com has unveiled details of its 2015 Pro-Ams, which will include – for the first time – the legendary Pinehurst (above) resort in North Carolina.
The Pinehurst Pro-Am, a first venture to North America, will take place on the 25–28 February, 2015, and will include a round on the fabled No.2 which will later this year host both the men’s and women’s US Open, as well as No.4 and No.8 courses.
The three-round event is open to teams from across the world, with each team comprising one PGA Professional and three amateurs. With an individual prize fund of £10,000/€12,000 the Pinehurst Pro-Am is set to be one of the most popular events of the 2015 circuit.
This first Pro-Am in North America – sanctioned by the PGAs of Europe – will also be complemented by a further two events in the glorious Andalucia region of Spain.
The 2014 Spain Pro-Ams – supported by the Andalucia Tourist Board & Golfbidder - were a huge success, with more than 150 golfers from across Europe battling it out at some of the region’s most prestigious courses. The 2015 Pro-Ams will include two rounds at European Tour stop, La Reserva, before a grand finale at the legendary Ryder Cup venue, Valderrama.
Jim Long, Golfbreaks.com’s Director of Golf Pro Relations, said: “Building on the success of our Spanish Pro-Ams that have proved so popular over the last three years, it’s very exciting to be adding a new event in the USA. Many competitors at our European Pro-Ams have asked about playing in the States, so we are delighted to be able to offer them a tournament to remember at the magnificent Pinehurst resort.”
Entry to the Pinehurst Pro-Am costs £1,180/€1,414 per amateur. This price includes:
Entry to the Valderrama/La Reserva Pro-Ams costs £850/€1,020 per amateur. Price includes:
