Aberdonian PGA Professional David Pocock, left, has been named the PGA Development Pro of the Year by The PGA in England & Wales (South West).
Pocock, director of coaching with Valleys Golf Enterprises in South Wales, received his award this week from the region's captain Peter Laugher.
It is the second award Pocock has won since moving to Wales in the summer of 2010 for his first club head pro post at Rhondda Golf Club, between Swansea and Cardiff.
The first was as Club Pro of the Year in Wales in December 2011 for his success in coaching juniors and getting youngsters to take up the game.
Golf is in Pocock’s genes. His uncle Mike has been president of the North-east District Association of the Scottish Golf Union and cousin Donna is an Aberdeenshire county player and past county champion.
