Danny Poulter (Heacham Manor) and amateur partner Richard Saunders sit at the leaderboard summit at the halfway stage of the Summer Classic.

The pair recorded a greensomes Stableford tally of 40 points to edge clear one clear at Royal Cromer.

The in-form Rob Watson (The Shire) and playing partner Wes Leonard are in hot pursuit, having notched 39 points.

Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) and Jody Greenall are tied for third with Mark Stokes (Bishop’s Stortford) and Dom Adams.

Day two sees the action shift a few miles west on the North Norfolk coastline with Sheringham the scene for today’s better-ball Stableford.
