Promote Training have released their latest eLearning course entitled “Golf Food & Beverage Management” – written by Associate Course Author, Steven Brown FBII.

Steven is well known in the golf industry for his consultancy and training work in food & beverage and is a regular lecturer on the topic for the Golf Club Managers’ Association (GCMA), Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and England Golf.

Split into seven sections, this training and development course goes through the many different best practices and competencies needed to manage a successful food & beverage operation within a golf club environment.

  • Section 1 – Your Food & Beverage Options
  • Section 2 – Costs & Controls
  • Section 3 – Staff
  • Section 4 – Industry Formulas
  • Section 5 – Marketing
  • Section 6 – Stock control

Section 7 goes on to look at a number of additional topics, from licensing to the fascinating science behind menu engineering & planning.

Matthew Orwin, co-founder of Promote Training, comments:

“Anyone who has attended one of Steven’s training sessions or presentations will know how informative and engaging they are. His highly successful blend of entertainment and training really comes through in this eLearning course – which is exactly what we had hoped for. Both the course and Steven are a great addition to our growing educational library and I’m certain it will prove very popular with Golf Club Managers, Secretaries and those individuals charged with responsibility for the food & beverage department within a club.”

"Over the last decade many golf clubs have focused on the food & beverage provision in order to bolster the club’s financial performance in the light of diminishing membership and green fee revenues. It’s a subject that Steven talks passionately about."

“Proprietary clubs certainly, but increasingly private-member clubs as well, need their food & beverage departments to contribute to make a positive contribution to the overall performance of their business. There’s no reasons why it can’t happen and I hope that this eLearning course helps delegates to apply the tried and tested management controls that need to be implemented for them to both manage and maximise their food and beverage operations.”

The course would suit PGA Members in the roles of General Manager, Club Manager, Secretary and any PGA Professional currently responsible, or aspiring to be responsible, for the management of food & beverage operations at their club. It takes approximately 25 hours to complete and awards successful delegates with 50 CPD points as part of the PGA’s Member Education Programme.

PGA Members also benefit from a preferential enrolment price of £145 when registering through this link.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to expand your own knowledge and help protect one of your clubs most valuable resources.
