Bernard Quigley will return to defend the Dr William Flynn Memorial Pro-Am title at Shannon Golf Club on Friday May 9.
The Carton House professional carded a three under par 69 at last year's event to take the title ahead of Damien Mooney and David Higgins who both recorded level par rounds.
The in-form John Kelly will bid to make it three wins in a row at Shannon after recent victories at Concra Wood and Greystones, while Daniel Sugrue, who shared the winners' cheque with Kelly at Greystones, is also included in the field.
Big hitting Mooney has returned to the Co Clare venue looking to go one better than last year and he will be joined by European Tour regular, Damien McGrane.
Shannon GC, established in 1966 was designed by John D Harris as a major championship course of international standard. The course has matured into one of the best inland courses in Munster and Ireland.
The parkland lay-out measures 6763 yards with fairways of natural meadow grass planted on either side with Spruce, Evergreens and a wide variety of deciduous trees.
The course has a mixture of sand-based and traditional greens, maintained to the highest standard and protected by numerous sand bunkers to offer the final challenge to each hole.
Water hazards are also a feature coming into sixth, seventh, eighth, 14th and 17th. The 17th par three is the signature hole which requires a dedicated golf shot over the Shannon Estuary.
There is a generous prize fund of €8000 up for grabs for the professionals and the action gets under way at 7.30am with Martin Ward (P & M Golf Superstore) striking the opening tee shot.
