The PGA in Scotland is delighted to announce Ramsdens Currency as the new title sponsor of the Scottish PGA Championship and as a ‘PGA Scotland Tournament Partner’. This new three-year agreement takes effect immediately and will further enhance the profile and prestige of The PGA in Scotland’s premier event.
PGA in Scotland Manager, David Longmuir, said: “This is tremendous news for The PGA in Scotland and establishes Ramsdens as our first ‘Scotland Tournament Partner’ and title sponsor of our most prestigious and historic Championship. This year’s Championship takes place at Scotscraig Golf Club from the 26thAugust until the 29th August and is the flagship tournament of The PGA in Scotland season.
Commenting on the new partnership, Peter Kenyon, Ramsdens CEO, said: “Ramsdens is an increasingly trusted and recognised brand, and we continue to grow from strength to strength. In the last financial year, the group exchanged over £420m currency by offering competitive exchange rates in store and online.
We are very much looking forward to our partnership with The PGA. It is the ideal platform for us to promote our travel money, multi-currency travel card and international money transfer service to members across Scotland. The professional at any club is often at the centre of the golfing community and they will know many members who travel and have a need for currency in addition to themselves. We hopefully can build a successful partnership over this initial three-year period.”
Ramsdens, which has stores across Scotland, England and Wales, last partnered with The PGA in 2018 as sponsor of the Leeds Cup in England. The company has also previously been active in Scotland, sponsoring the SPFL’s Ramsdens Cup, as well as English Championship football clubs Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.
