Richards and Slater tie at Truro

Scott Richards (Truro) and Grant Slater (Trevose) shared first place in the individual professional section of the Cornwall Alliance meeting at Truro.

Their level par rounds of 67 were worth 36 points. Richard O’Hanlon (St Kew) was third on 35 followed by Paul Turpin (Carlyon Bay) two points further behind with Richard Sadler (Killiow) and Josh Hancock (Newquay) sharing fifth on 31.

On a day of brisk winds and showers Chris Gill’s assistant Hancock took the pairs title with amateur Carl White on countback from Turpin and Gary Andrew after both duos had carded 43 points. Richards and Spike Drew (Truro) were third on 41.
