Paul Robinson (Largs), second placed three times and with six top-five finishes this season, finally made it over the winning line at the Elgin Golf Club shotgun start pro-am.
Robinson shot a three-under-par 66 to win the £700 top prize by one stroke from Graeme Brown (Montrose Links) with Greig Hutcheon (PLGC Inchmarlo) third with a 68.
Robinson birdied the fourth, fifth, seventh and 14th. His only bogey came at the 13th, which was the last hole he played under the shotgun format.
Stephen Gray (Lanark) led the amateur team of Artie McKerron (handicap 8), Harry Mackay (10) and Paul Cantray (14) to victory in the pro-am team event with an 11-under-par score of 58.
