Sadler back on top at Launceston

Killiow’s Richard Sadler returned to the winner’s circle at the Cornwall County Professional Golfers' Alliance meeting at Launceston after shooting two-under-par 68 for 38 points.

On a sunny breezy day he finished one shot clear of James Ruth (China Fleet) with Grant Slater (Trevose) two shots further back in third.

Russell Binney (St Austell) and Paul Turpin (Carlyon Bay) shared fourth on 72.

Binney and St Austell amateur Glyn Rowett triumphed in the pairs with 40 points. They were one clear of four other pairs - Martin Nicholas/Stewart Bradley (Lanhydrock), Sadler/Dave Holland (Falmouth), Dan Wood/Dale Howarth (Ivy Leaf), Ruth/John Sanders (China Fleet).
