Salisbury victorious at Garon Park

David Salisbury (Three Rivers Golf & Country Club) fired six birdies at Garon Park as he recorded his third East region pro-am victory this season.
He shot a two-under-round of 69 to win by a stroke from Jack Frances (Old Fold Manor) and Simon Sheppard (Bishop’s Stortford).
Starting at the 10th hole, Salisbury picked up a stroke at four of the first five holes to lay down his intentions early at the Essex venue.
He progressed to four-under early in his back nine before a couple of blips threatened to derail his victory bid.
He dropped three strokes in the space of three holes and needed a birdie at his penultimate hole to close out his win.
