James Scade’s hot streak continued with a narrow triumph in the Heineken Three Rivers Golf Club Pro-Am.
The Elsenham Golf and Leisure PGA Professional made it three wins in the last two months when he edged out an in-form Jason Levermore (Channels) by a shot.
Scade, who this season was also victorious in the Colchester GC Pro-Am and the Ingrebourne Valley Par-Three Championship, shot a five-under-par round of 67.
Under a shotgun start, Scade teed off at the 15th and within three holes had notched his first birdie.
Four holes later and he eagled a par-five before moving to five-under, thanks to picking up further strokes at eight and 11.
With three holes to go, Scade bogeyed but recovered well to make birdie at his last – and that would eventually prove decisive.
Levermore, who tied for victory in the Swaffham Pro-Am and won the Stanmore Pro-Am earlier in the week, once again played some superb golf.
At his last two holes, he finished birdie-eagle, but that wasn’t quite enough to rein in Scade.
Murray White (Penfold Park) and James Webber (Three Valleys) both shot 69 to share third spot. David Salisbury (American Golf Discount Centre) led the winning team.
