Shacklady and Jones share spoils

Serial winner David Shacklady ran up a treble bogey seven on the ninth hole in the third PGA North Players' Event at Childwall.

But the Mossock Hall maestro leaked another shot on the final green and had to settle for a share of the spoils with Royal Liverpool's Michael Jones who closed with a birdie.

They were the only pair to finish on level par 72, Penwortham's Ryan O'Neill claiming third spot a stroke back.
