Shacklady towers again at Turton

David Shacklady completed a hat-trick of victories in the PGA Lancs Players' Tour fixture at Turton.

And the 13th hole was anything but unlucky for the multi-winning Mossock Hall professional because that's where he started a run of three successive birdies.

His four-under-par 66 left him three shots in front of the host club's Sean Owen and Haigh Hall's Craig Corrigan, who recovered after a quadruple eight at the first.

Meanwhile, joint seventh Steve Parry, from Hart Common, holds a 10 points lead in the Order of Merit from Hesketh's Curtis Dean.
