One of the highlights of the golfing season, the 2016 KCOM Seve Ballesteros Foundation Pro-Am, will take place at the Foxhills Club & Resort, Surrey, on Monday, September 5, 2016.

Now boasting a £10,000 PGA Professionals’ prize fund, this prestigious event is being further enhanced by a new title sponsor, KCOM, and the participation of Foxhills’ Ambassador Nick Dougherty in the Pro-Am itself for the first time. talkSPORT presenter Georgie Bingham will also return as compere for the event.

Foxhills continues to stage top professional events such as the Senior PGA Professional Championship for the Bernard Hunt Trophy, named in special tribute to eight time Ryder Cup player and two time PGA Captain whose name is synonymous with Foxhills.

The Spaniard's unique appeal and lasting legacy continues to inspire huge numbers of people in the golfing world, especially when the Ryder Cup approaches in late September.

Thanks to their appreciation and massive support, the Seve Ballesteros Foundation Pro-Am has raised over £200,000 for the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, helping combat brain cancer while providing opportunities for less fortunate children to discover golf.

KCOM, a cloud-focussed technology services specialist, is the Pro-Am’s new title sponsor and its Head of Enterprise, Stephen Long, is excited at the prospect of what has become a major highlight of the region’s schedule.

“KCOM is delighted to be part of the inspirational legacy of Seve Ballesteros by supporting this special event on the PGA calendar,” said Long.

“As with previous years, I’m sure it will be a truly memorable day and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.”

Adding to the day’s excitement, the highly popular three-time European Tour winner and TV golf analyst Nick Dougherty will be sharing his tour-based experience and wisdom in a golf clinic prior to the late afternoon luncheon. With the Ryder Cup this year, Nick will probably be sharing his recollections of playing the third round of the 2007 US Open at Oakmont with superstar Tiger Woods when he was at the top of his remarkable game, which Nick has described as ‘my best day in golf’.

The day itself comprises:

Full English Breakfast

• 18 hole Pro-Am tournament over the Longcross Course

• Shotgun start at 10.00am

• 3-Course late afternoon luncheon

• Excellent amateur prizes

• Charity auction and raffle in aid of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation
