SkyCaddie will again sponsor the PGA England & Wales Inter County Championship as part of a one year extension of its PGA Partnership agreement.
The three man team event proved a popular format with counties on its launch last year culminating in a Suffolk triumph at The Belfry.
The four-time Ryder Cup venue will again host the final over the PGA National Course from October 14-15 with a £10,000 prize fund up for grabs.
Qualifiers will take place through August and September at Nazeing (August 26), Stapleford Park (September 9), Mid Kent (September 16), Woodbury Park (September 23) and Bolton (September 29) with the format featuring the best two scores in each round from the three-man team.
SkyCaddie, the world’s No.1 range finder, has supported PGA tournaments over a number of years and enjoys a strong relationship with pros at grass roots level.
Jacqui Surman, senior vice president of international sales and maketing at Sky Golf commented: “The PGA professional is at the heart of the game, trusted by golfers to give the right advice, and that’s exactly how most golfers also feel about SkyCaddie.
“We give golf’s most trusted and accurate yardages, produced and regularly updated with our painstaking approach to detail, creating every course map on foot, and our bond with PGA professionals at the grass-roots level of the sport in Great Britain UK is strong and long-standing.
“We are delighted to show our continued commitment by extending our support of the PGA England & Wales Inter County Championship. We’re excited to be involved for another season, and wish all competitors a successful tournament.”
