Trevose assistant Grant Slater continued his consistent form this winter season by winning the individual professional award in the Cornwall Professional Golfers’ Alliance meeting at West Cornwall.
He carded a one-over-par 70 for 35 stableford points, one better than Alliance captain Chris Gill (Newquay) with Russell Binney (St Austell) a further shot behind. Antony Nash (St Enodoc) and Richard O'Hanlon (St Kew) carded 31 to share fourth.
Simon Schofield and Andrew Froude from Trethorne won the pairs on 39.
They were one point ahead of the next three pairs - leading professional Dan Wood with amateur partner Dale Howarth, Binney and St Austell amateur Dave Kitt and Matt Curnoe and Antony Richards (West Cornwall).
