Grant Slater starred in the Cornwall Professional Golfers’ Alliance weekend at Saunton, claiming the combined pro award after a stunning performance on the final day.
The Trevose assistant took the win after a dominant second round display which saw him card 38 points to add to the 35 he claimed on day one.
Played over both the West and East courses across two days, Nick Rogers (Falmouth) and Dan Wood (Ivyleaf, Bude) struck first, pipping Slater into first place by one shot as the tournament reached the halfway point.
But Slater came into his own on day two and ended the event with a three-stroke advantage over Chris Gill (Newquay), with Richard Sadler (Killiow) on 68 and Wood two strokes further back.
Rogers and amateur Steve Draycott (Falmouth) won the opening day pairs award with 41 points. Wood and his Ivyleaf partner Dale Howarth won the second day on the same score.
Wood and Howarth were the two-day pairs winners on 81 followed by Slater and Will Sumner (Carlyon Bay) on 80 with Sadler and Paul Stokes (Killiow) and Gill and Max Pocklington (Newquay) on 77.
