South tees up Costa del Sol PGA Pro-Am

The PGA in England (South) and Golf Escapes have teed up some winter sunshine as they again stage the 2015 Costa Del Sol Overseas PGA Pro-Am, supported by Callaway and Holiday World Hotels.

Played over four rounds on two of Spain’s finest from the February 22-27, the pro-am has a £7,800 prize fund with £850 to the winner based on a full field.

The event, played over the Cabell Robinson designed Santana Golf and Santa Maria Golf & Country Club, designed by Ryder Cup star Antonio Garrido,  is open to all PGA Members with the cost of a team £2,402.00 plus flights.

The courses combine the prospect of a challenge to professionals but fun for the amateurs, along with some stunning scenery and superb playing surfaces, all blessed with some welcome Spanish warmth at the end of February.

The team entry package includes 5 nights in a twin room on an All Inclusive basis at the 4 star Holiday Polynesia Hotel in Benalmadena, 5 seater minivan per team from Malaga airport, welcome cocktail party, 4 Pro-Am tournament rounds – 2 x Santana & 2 x Santa Maria - buggies for all 4 rounds, excellent amateur prizes and a prize presentation gala dinner, and of course on-site PGA & Golf Escapes representatives.

Non-golfing partners? No problem, they’re just £389.00 each plus flights for all five nights (and a twin room), and entry to both the opening cocktail bash and the prize presentation gala dinner – put another way, that’s a small price to pay for so many brownie points!
