Speedflex tee up PGA Official Supplier status

Speedflex will help ensure the PGA is fit and raring to go after becoming a PGA Official Supplier.

The company, whose headquarters are in the north east, has several centres across the UK with its high intensity, personal trainer led workouts with instant physiological feedback, growing in popularity.

England legend Alan Shearer and breakfast TV front man Ben Shephard are both ambassadors and users of the hi tech training programme.

Speedflex joins the PGA’s network of suppliers as part of its support sponsorship of the ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship which for the first time is being staged at Close House Golf Club, Newcastle, in June (11-14).

Utilising a combination of cardio and resistance training, centres feature unique Speedflex machines which automatically respond to, and create resistance levels, based on the force exerted by the individual.

This means people of all ages and abilities can train together in small groups, led by personal trainers with little or no impact, burning high numbers of calories whilst linked to a heart rate monitor.

Speedflex has also carried out research which shows the benefits to golfers in terms of being able to hit the ball further.
