Argentario Golf Resort & Spa continues to reap the benefits of becoming a PGA National Italy after the Tuscany-based venue was selected to host a 2020 Staysure Tour competition.

The Senior Italian Open heads to Argentario for the first time from May 29-31, where the best players on Europe’s over-50s circuit will compete on the David Mezzacane and Baldovino Dassù-designed PGA National Golf Course.

The 2020 Staysure Tour begins with the Murhof Legends – Austrian Senior Open at Golf Club Murhof from May 14-16 which returns for a second successive appearance after its successful debut in 2019.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed Golf Club at Harbor Shores, Michigan will host the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship for a fifth time since 2012 from May 21-24.

Next up is the Senior Italian Open at Argentario Golf Resort & Spa followed by the Arras Open Senior Hauts de France (June 11-13), hosted by 1999 Ryder Cup player Jean van de Velde Golf d’Arras.

The following week (June 19-21) Trevose Golf Club will host the Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship before the second Senior Major of the campaign, the U.S. Senior Open Championship (June 25-28) at Newport Country Club, ending a strong opening stretch to the 2020 Staysure Tour season.

Following the success of the initiative last season, the Staysure Tour will continue with a points system to determine the Order of Merit, which will see Price defend the John Jacobs Trophy which he won for the first time in 2019.
