Paul Streeter claimed the annual Kenwick Park Pro Am with a two-under-par 69 to secure a one stroke victory over a trio including reigning Glenmuir champion Dan Greenwood.
The Lincoln Golf Centre pro, who holds the course record, finished clear of Greenwood, Joe Lippett and Tom Rastall who had eagled the final hole in the Lincolnshire Professionals Championship also at Kenwick Park earlier in the season to deny Streeter victory.
Humberside Airport-based Eastern Airways again sponsored the event which attracted a 152-strong field with the 39 PGA pros competing for the inaugural Eric Sharp Trophy which was donated to recognise Eric's contribution to golf not only at Kenwick Park but throughout Lincolnshire.
Sharp, who was awarded honorary life membership of the PGA in 2012, was delighted that the event was so well supported.
"I feel very privileged and proud to be associated with Kenwick Park Golf Club and the PGA in Lincolnshire with this trophy,” he said.
“I would particularly like to thank Bryan Huxford, chairman of Eastern Airways, and in particular Michael Langford (PGA Professional) for his organisational skills.”
The field also included former European Tour stars Gordon J Brand, Andrew Hare and Stephen Bennett as well as Ladies European Tour players Sophie Walker and Holly Clyburn.
In the team event a magnificent score of 15 under par was good enough to snatch victory by two strokes. Burghley Park pro Lippett and team members Greg Shelton, Simon Chester and young Sanjay Nithiyalingan were the victorious quartet.
