Paul Streeter made it five PGA in England (Midlands) wins for the season, edging a very close tussle during the traditionally challenging Northamptonshire County Pro-Am.
The Lincoln Golf Centre star hard to work a little harder than usual for his latest victory, securing a one-shot win with a birdie at the last for a two-under-par round of 68.
James Whatley, fully recovered from his marathon charity challenge of 100 holes in a day at his home club Morley Hayes last week, continued his good form with a 69, sharing the runners up purse with Stephen Bennett (Waltham Windmill).
Joint fourth with level-par 70's were home pro Adam Myers and Brian Rimmer (Little Aston), his round featuring an eagle two at the 377-yard 14th.
Very well attended with 35 teams taking part, the team event was won comfortably by four shots by the fourball led by Daniel Wood (Brampton Heath).
