Talbott fights back to take title

Mark Talbott took the winners cheque at the PGA in Essex French Pro-Am after a sublime second round at Belle Dunne.

The Thorpe Hall pro hit a fine three-under-par 68 to better the rest of the field by five shots, making the most of his lead to take the title on day three over the Pines Course at Hardelot.

He ended the event one shot ahead of Chris Cutchie (Colchester), who had led after day one at La Mer.

James Scade (Ingrebourne Links) and Steve Cipa (South Essex) took a share of third place.

In the Pro-Am, Mark Talbott’s team from Thorndon Park Golf Club of Mike Partridge, Patrick Bowler and Scott Clenaghan took the honours over the three days.
