Talbott triumphs again

Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall) underlined that he is one of the form players in the East with victory at the Eaton Pro-Am.
Talbott recorded his third regional win inside six weeks, following a shared success at Newmarket Links and an outright victory at Berkhamsted.
He shot a four-under total of 66 on his latest start to strike by two shots from Steve Cipa (South Essex) and Matthew Gardner (Barnham Broom).
Talbott began on the 12th tee and found himself one over after his second hole. But he refused to let that unsettle him, hitting back with a birdie four at the long 16th.
There were back-to-back birdies at the first and second as Talbott stepped up his challenge.
He remained on the front foot, picking up further strokes at the seventh and eighth. Talbott kept his composure right to the end, closing out with three straight pars.
