Talented teen is youngest winner of Fairhaven Trophy

Topgolf coached player Lily Humpfreys, has become the youngest winner of the Fairhaven Trophy held at Fairhaven Golf Club, one of the country’s most prestigious junior golf tournaments.

As well as being the youngest winner, Humpfreys is the first winner of a major UK golf competition to have been coached by Topgolf’s coaches.

She won the competition by an impressive eight shot margin, ending on one under after 72 holes.

The competition attracted top junior golfers from all over the UK and Europe with representation from Finnish, German, Irish, Swedish and Swiss youngsters.

Her coach at Chigwell Topgolf, Richard Smith, said: “This is a massive achievement for Lily and we’re incredibly proud of her win at Fairhaven.

“While Topgolf is a fun environment with innovative games and a much less than traditional outfield, this achievement shows that we take coaching seriously and have all the tools to create success. I coach some fantastic kids at Topgolf and am very excited about what the future holds for us all.”

Humpfreys is the first winner of a leading competition to have been coached by Topgolf’s PGA qualified coaches.

Topgolf coaching also utilises the latest technology including FlightScope and HUDL swing analysis used in either individual or group sessions.

There are also a number of packages for courses of lessons and a range of junior group lessons and camps during summer holidays.
