Europe’s largest Pro-Am event will return to the K Club in August, following its successful comeback in 2024.
This tournament offers amateur golfers the chance to play alongside top professionals in a 36-hole stableford competition, at the world-renowned Palmer North and Palmer South courses at the K Club, County Kildare.
Each of the 100 participating teams will consist of three amateurs and one professional. While the teams compete in a two-day Stableford competition, a separate individual stroke play event will run concurrently for the professionals, offering a €100,000 prize — the largest PGA Pro-Am purse in Europe. In addition to the individual prize for professionals, awards will be given to the top three teams overall, as well as to the best-performing team on each day.
The field is expected to feature many of the most well-known names from The PGA’s UK and Ireland regions, alongside a selection of touring professionals.
The Pro-Am will take place on August 18th and 19th, 2025, just three weeks before the Amgen Irish Open. Michael Maxwell, Director of Golf at the K Club, is confident that the conditions of both courses will further enhance the experience for amateurs and professionals alike.
“We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of course conditioning all year round,” said Maxwell.
“With the Irish Open just around the corner, we’ll be ensuring that both courses are in excellent condition, providing the perfect setting for the Pro-Am.”
There are limited spaces available, with entry for each team priced at €1,800. The registration deadline is May 31st. Professionals wishing to register a team must do so via the PGA website.
