The 2017 schedule for The PGA in Sussex is now well under way after kicking off at the Heineken Pro-Am at Haywards Heath, with a lot more top golf to look forward to in the coming months.
Home PGA Assistant Professional Jack Martin took the spoils at Haywards Heath with a three-under-par 68 in the Heineken Pro-Am, and he also took the honours with his three amateur colleagues in the team event.
Next up is the Copthorne Pro-Am on 15 June with another handsome prize fund up for grabs, and to double up the entertainment factor for those who love heathland golf on 20 July there’s the Lamberhurst Pro-Am.
The new West Hove Pro-Am on the South Downs near Brighton follows on 23 August, with the County PGA Championship over both courses at Royal Ashdown Forest at the end of the month.
September then sees PGA Pro-Ams at three more highly rated Sussex venues: Dale Hill over the Ian Woosnam course, Ham Manor in Worthing, and Cottesmore.
The PGA in Sussex Secretary Sam Smith said: “As the official body for Sussex’s PGA Professionals, it’s great to see The PGA in Sussex schedule growing and as a result, that we can offer quality playing opportunities at PGA tournaments within the county.”
