Tom starts the season in style

Tom Fleming got off to the best possible start of the BB&O season with a win at the Datchet Individual tournament.

Fleming (Newbury & Crookham) took advantage of both the fine weather and the fantastically prepared Datchet course to post a four-under-par score of 66.

He was closely followed by fellow Newbury & Crookham pro James Foster, competing in his first BB&O tournament, who shot a 67 to claim the runners-up spot. He was three clear of Paul Newman and Guy Woodman who tied third with level par 70's.

The BB&O now move on next week to Donnington Grove for The Spring Classic, the first Order of Merit tournament.
