Total Triumph, the long-standing sponsor of the Gloucester and Somerset PGA’s Winter Series, has agreed to support the competition for a ninth successive year.

In addition to sponsoring the Order of Merit which is determined by 20-plus events, Total Triumph will support the climax to the season – the Strokeplay Championship.

Commenting on Total Triumph’s continuing support for the competition, the company’s owner Neil Mossman said: “It has been a tough year for us all.

“But we must try to return to some sort of normality and I look forward to joining the guys at some of the events over the winter.

“Our relationship has grown over the years and by supporting their Winter Series it sees the name of Total Triumph getting noticed across the two counties.”

Gloucester and Somerset PGA chairman Andrew March added: “We are extremely grateful to have Total Triumph on board again and my sincere thanks go to Neil for his ongoing support of our Association.

“I know I speak for the rest of the PGA Professionals who compete in these events when I say that.”

The 2020/21 Winter Series will see Cirencester’s Ed Goodwin (above) bid for a hat-trick of titles in a campaign that will start later than usual.

The opening event at Mendip Spring has been pushed back to October 1 and it is hoped some of the events that should have been staged in September will be played towards the end of the campaign.

March added: “Captain Roy Baker and secretary Pat Baker have worked hard to put together an impressive list of events so far.

“The Gloucester and Somerset PGA is grateful to the clubs in allowing us to play despite the current boom that golf is experiencing post lockdown.”
