Toyer and Kimber victorious

Paul Toyer (St Neots) and Matthew Kimber (North Oxford) both shot four-under rounds of 67 to share success in the Leighton Buzzard Pro-Am.
The pair, both afternoon starters from the 10th tee, finished a shot clear of a trio of players - Paul Hetherington (Great Hadham), Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) and Jason Levermore (Channels).
Kimber was level-par at the turn but had a sparkling burst of form on what was his closing nine. He birdied the second, fifth, seventh and eighth as he returned in 32.
It was a very similar story for Toyer, who was also level-par after playing holes 10-18 as his outward nine.
He made four birdies, too, on his homeward stretch to finish out in front with Kimber.
Toyer was also the successful 'captain' in the team event with his quartet tallying 126 - three strokes clear for a decisive win.
