The King’s Lynn Pro-Am finished in a three-way tie as Paul Hetherington (Great Hadham), Jason Levermore (Channels) and Paul Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre) all fired four-under-par 68s.
Hetherington and Levermore got it to five-under deep into their back nine. But the pair came unstuck at the testing par-four 15th hole, each dropping a stroke.
Hetherington notched six birdies in his round, including at both of the opening two holes. Levermore picked up a stroke at five of the first 11 holes.
Streeter, more often seen on the PGA in England (Midlands) circuit, was a welcome visitor to the East and showed his enduring class with a fine round. Indeed, he birdied the 15th – the hole which proved costly for the two players he ended up tying at the top with.
Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) mustered four birdies in his closing six holes to shoot three-under-par and finish fourth. Ian Ellis (Great Yarmouth & Caister) notched four straight birdies from the seventh hole on his way to a 70 and outright fifth place.
Brett Taylor (Brett Taylor Golf) marshalled the winning team on a 113 total.
