Turpin to the fore at Bude

Paul Turpin won the individual professional award in the Cornwall Professional Golfers Alliance with a two-under-par 69 worth 38 Stableford points at Bude and North Cornwall.  

The Carlyon Bay pro finished one shot clear of Chris Gill (Newquay) on a breezy day with brief showers with Ross Whitelock (St Mellion), Gary Lenaghan (Trevose) and Richard Sadler (Killiow) one shot further back in a field of 66.

Home amateurs Llew Courtenay and Adam Curtis won the pairs one point ahead of Turpin and Danny Downing who pipped Lenaghan and Mike Hayes on count back.
