Cornwall’s top two players Richard O' Hanlon (The Point Polzeath - above) and Richard Sadler (Killiow) tied for the professional award in the Cornwall Alliance meeting at Launceston, carding level par rounds of 71 worth 36 stableford points.
After heavy rain had cleared to leave a sunny day with a light breeze, they finished one shot ahead of Andy Welch, this year’s Alliance captain from Whitsand Bay, with Jamie O'Hara (Lanhydrock) and Grant Slater (Trevose) two shots further back in fourth.
Sadler also won the pairs with 42 points playing with amateur Dave Holland from Falmouth. Welch and Keith Smallman (Whitsand Bay) were runners up two points behind. O'Hanlon and Dan Best (Carlyon Bay) were third on countback from Scott Richards (Truro) and amateur Will Sumner (Carlyon Bay).
The next meeting is at West Cornwall on November 14.
